Delete your Hallmate account

Hallmate is published by Alessandro Coron. You can delete your account at any time, from the app or by email.

From the app (immediate)

Open Hallmate and go to Profile.
Open Settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

Without the app (by email)

Write to privacy@hallmate.nl from the email address you use for Hallmate, with the subject “Delete my Hallmate account”.

We may reply to confirm the request comes from you. We delete the account within 30 days at the latest, usually within a few days, and tell you by email when it is done.

What is deleted

Your account (email address and password).
Your profile: name, floor and room, bio, interests, photos and Instagram handle.
Everything you created: messages and their attachments (photos, videos, voice messages, documents), listings, activities you host and your sign-ups, comments, reactions, open groups you joined, game results, bookings, maintenance reports and reports you filed.
Connect data: crushes you sent, profile visits and matches.
Your notification token and the app usage events linked to you.

What is kept, and for how long

Anonymous Spotted posts stay visible to the residence, but are no longer linked to you in any way.
Things shared with others stay for them, without your name: a group chat you started (your own messages in it are deleted), flat chores you created or completed, and interest tags you added to the shared list.
Room applications (hospiteren): if you applied for a room, the application stays with that residence until the vacancy is closed or deleted. Ask us at the address above and we remove it earlier.
Backups of the database are overwritten automatically within 7 days.
